Windows On-Demand Streaming
With Windows On-Demand Media streaming, you can stream any preexisting media.
Pre-encoded files
Pre-encoded file-types are already in the target format necessary for streaming. Just upload and stream. The supported pre-encoded file types for Windows On-Demand Streaming are:
- WMV
- WMA
- ASF
- MP3
Un-encoded files
Un-encoded file-types can be uploaded but will need to be converted into streaming format by UpStream Networks before they will be available*. The supported un-encoded file types for Windows On-Demand Streaming are::- AAC
- AIF/AIFF
- ASF
- AVI (MS AVI, DivX, Xvid)
- MOV (Quicktime)
- MP3
- MPG (MPEG-1, MPEG-2)
- MP4 (MPEG-4)
- WAV
* - In most cases, there is a 48-hour turnaround time on file conversion for un-encoded media.
